On 10 September, Community Sport Solutions joined The Albion Foundation at The Hawthorns for the launch of its new strategy, Get Behind the Badge. The day offered us a unique opportunity to see the Foundation’s work first-hand, hear directly from the people behind its programmes and understand the ambitions shaping its next chapter. For us at CSS, it was also an opportunity to see where data and technology can help turn those ambitions into measurable, actionable impact.
Together with Anthony Khan and Gaël Agneray, we joined The Albion Foundation at The Hawthorns for the launch of its new strategy, Get Behind the Badge.
The day gave us the opportunity to connect with Foundation staff, coaches, participants and partners, while seeing first-hand how the strategy is being brought to life through three pillars: Grow Our Own, Go Local and Football for All.
What stayed with us most were the stories behind the programmes. Daveena Patel shared how the Foundation’s Sandwell Virtual School programme, mentoring and volunteering opportunities helped her overcome challenges, build confidence and achieve her goals. Hearing Chris Winston’s personal story was another powerful reminder that behind every programme and data point is a real person and a real story.
For Community Sport Solutions, this is where strategy, data and technology come together.
Through CSS Suite, we are proud to support The Albion Foundation in bringing its programmes and data together in one place, working towards 100% survey fulfilment across both pen-and-paper and digital surveys, and creating better ways to engage with its audiences.
The first pen-and-paper surveys have already gone out, with the first results being digitalised and automated. Our wider ambition is to help the Foundation become a Target Driven Organisation, giving senior management a clear view of participants, activities, survey results, revenue, targets and impact.
Technology should make community sport organisations easier to understand, measure and manage, without creating another layer of administration.
We left The Hawthorns inspired by the work taking place and proud to contribute to the next chapter of The Albion Foundation.
A special thank you to Rob Lake and Jonathan Ward for inviting us to be part of such an important moment.
Get Behind the Badge.
